One of the school improvement priorities this year is implementing effective curriculum design that maps out what is taught at each stage of the carefully sequenced journey. We continue to work on our curriculum at Woodford so that we have well-planned knowledge within each subject area so that the children know more, do more and remember more. We have a strong focus on the basic knowledge that children need to access all areas of the curriculum and build connections in their learning. This curriculum is underpinned by a culture and ethos of strong personal development and wellbeing through the journey so that children can impact positively on society and use their knowledge well for future learning in life.
