Our Year 5 & 6 girls’ football team were this week invited to Manadon Sports Hub to take part in the Premier League Primary Stars U11 Regional Cup. After winning a tournament earlier in the year, they were chosen by Argyle to represent Plymouth at the event and came up against the best schools from Bath, Cardiff, Newport, Yeovil, Torquay, Exeter and two schools from Bristol. They did really well - scoring lots of goals and winning 5 of their 8 games! They only narrowly missed out on qualifying for the national finals. During the day, they also got chance to get their photo taken with the Premier League trophy and took part in a ‘Responding to Racism’ workshop. A big well done to all the girls, and thank you to the parents and Mr Wallis for their support with this event.
