Chestnut Class have had a great start to Year 5. In English, the children thought carefully about the ingredients needed for a sentence to be accurate. They spent time identifying the verb and subject in sentence. Chestnut Class had their first PE session with Mr Wallace. Mr Wallace was impressed with the children’s efforts and is looking forward to tag rugby session number 2 next week. The children have been making numbers based on their knowledge of place value. Also in science, they have been guessing which animal they were based on yes and no questions. They then grouped themselves into mammal, amphibian, insect or birds and thought about the characteristics that make up each group.
